This blog will detail the Rantidi Forest Excavations in Cyprus lead by Dr. Georgia Bonny Bazemore of Eastern Washington University.
Having a fun time while learning in Cyprus.
ReplyDeleteThis was actually a really fun day, though the look on my face does not reflect it. I ran in a greek stadium earlier that day and was not in the general mood to pose for pictures.
ReplyDeleteThis pic was taken in the stadium Ty mentions in his post. What isn't pictured is the amazing ruins of the Temple of Apollo in Kourion. It was an amazing temple complex with several buildings, a bath-house, mosaics, a dancing circle, and of course the temple. We also saw an ancient amphitheatre where we could here a "golf clap" from the stage all the way in the very highest seat.
ReplyDeleteThe stadium was amazing to see, only made better by watching Ty run it. The temple of Apollo was amazing, the fact that parts of the temple were still standing was unbelievable
ReplyDeleteAs a former track runner I really enjoyed seeing this site. It was great having the chance to take this picture and actually sit where people once cam eto watch the games. Simply amazing.
ReplyDeleteAll i can say is that being able to see all the things we ahve been learing about all our lives is simple amazing! I love it!
ReplyDeleteSeeing the ruins of many ancient sites has been a great experience. We saw the Temple of Apollo and some of the structures that remain are as beautiful as the day they were built.
